An early morning walk to the garden on this Tuesday morning. As I walked around enjoying the quiet stillness of this peaceful time of the day, I noticed that my little church in the wildwood bird house perched on top of the fence had remained empty this summer.
Unfortunately there had been no renters to enjoy the lilacs, lilies and other flowers that grew around it. It’s too bad because it would be such a nice and cozy little place to grow a family of feathered babies.
But I think that last winter’s renters, the Squirrels, had not completely moved out by the time the spring visitors flew back to my yard looking for a place to stay.
So instead they built their nests in the many trees that surround my yard which is really nice, because on mornings like this I get to enjoy their chitchatting and tweeting, which is for sure a very good thing.
