The first little Gaspe Barn Cat of the season found its way to my back door last night.
It was such a dark and rainy night when I heard her little meow. So to the door I went and there looking a whole lot wet and homeless was this cuddly little woolly kitten.
I picked her up and sat her beside the wood stove to warm up. Then I knit her a cozy little green scarf with yarn from my knitting basket. She seemed quite happy to be wearing it and in no time at all, she was fast asleep. As I listened to her purring, I knew that she must be dreaming, for her little tail was curling and twitching.
This little one is now ready to be adopted by someone who will give her a good forever home. Because for a little stray cat, finding a home of one’s own is for sure, a very good thing. .
