Morning Stories
As I was walking around the yard yesterday, I noticed this spark of colour in one of my flower gardens. It was the only one like it and it stood tall and proud amongst all the other blooms and greenery.
I remember having similar ones years ago but they had died out. And yet here was this beauty, more beautiful than any that I had ever seen before. A flower garden is a mysterious and unexplainable place, where some things grow and others don’t. Where annuals, self-seeders, biennials, and perennials grow up together in splashes of delightful colours in our summer flower beds. And sometimes if we are really lucky a beautiful stray like this one will show up to live in them and that is for sure a beautiful kind of good thing.
